【外国語科】31期 Final Class of the Year!

カテゴリ: 本日は、今年度最後の授業を行いました。ALTがゲームを考えてくれ、チーム戦でポイントを稼ぐゲームでした！
Today, we held our last class of the school year! Our ALT prepared a fun team-based game, where students competed for points.
6チームに分かれて、一人づつ解答者を決めていきます。選んだお題に対して、答えられるかどうかというシンプルなゲームでしたが、色々なQuetionや生徒の珍回答、ジェスチャー問題もあり大いに盛り上がりました！！
The class was divided into six teams, and each round, one person was chosen as the contestant. The game was simple—answering questions based on selected topics—but with a variety of unique questions, unexpected answers, and gesture challenges, the classroom was filled with laughter and excitement!
この一年を振り返ると、外語クラスの生徒は多くの経験を積んだのかなと思います。授業内では、みんなの前で英語でプレゼンするだけでなく、AIツールの使い方、論理的思考の方法、ディベート、情報検索、英検対策等、普通科では味わえない時間を「全員」が過ごせたことが一番良かったことかなと思います。
また、授業外では、スピーチコンテスト、英語劇、ディベート大会など積極的な参加をしてくれたことも非常に嬉しいことでした！
Looking back on the past year, the Foreign Language Course students have gained valuable experiences.
Not only did they practice giving presentations in English, but they also explored AI tools, logical thinking, debate, research skills, and Eiken preparation—experiences that ordinary courses cannot offer.
Beyond the classroom, many students actively participated in speech contests, English plays, and debate tournaments, which was truly inspiring!
時に、なかなかうまくいかない時もあったと思います。そんな状況でも、諦めずに、折れずに、活動できたことが今後の生徒達の、そしてクラス全体の成長に繋げてほしいなと思っています。
Of course, there were times when things didn’t go as planned. But despite the challenges, students never gave up, persevering through every activity. This resilience will surely contribute to their growth as individuals and as a class.
英語を学びたい人、英語に興味がある人、英語が苦手な人、それぞれに思いがあって「蕨の外国語科」に入学したと思います。1年間の授業だけでは英語力をあげることは難しいです。ですが、この”1年”が、外国語科で過ごす実りのある1年であったことを願っています。
Whether they love English, are curious about it, or even struggle with it, each student joined the Warabi Foreign Language Course with their own goals. One year alone may not drastically improve language skills, but we hope that this one year was a meaningful and enriching experience.
たくさんの人に支えられて活動できた1年でした。感謝するとともに、これからの３１期外国語科を応援していただければ幸いです＾＾

明日は、学年末テストになります‥。一年間を振り返りながら、テストも楽しんでもらえたらと思います！

【外国語科】３１期 Speaking Exam!!

これまで3時間使い、この一年間で習ってきた内容を英語でしっかり言えるようにするということを目標に練習を重ねてきた成果を出すときです。
Final Speaking Test Has Begun! ✨
Starting today, we are conducting the final Speaking Test of the year!
Over the past three lessons, students have worked hard to practice expressing themselves in English based on what they have learned throughout the year. Now, it's time to show the results of their efforts!
実際に試験をしてみると、練習の時よりも上手に話せていたので、それぞれが練習してきているのがわかりました。
During the test, many students spoke even better than they did in practice, proving that their hard work paid off. Well done, everyone!
そして、蕨外国語科の倍率速報が出ましたね！
去年よりも倍率が上がっているので、生徒達も喜んでいました！
中学生にどんな授業を展開しているのか想像してもらうために、ＨＰを本格的に力を入れました。
The application ratio for Warabi Foreign Language Department has been announced, and it has increased compared to last year! Students were thrilled with this news.
To help prospective students understand what our classes are like, we have been putting more effort into our homepage. We hope our message reaches as many students as possible!
そのメッセージが一人でも多くの人に届き、これからも偏差値だけで高校を決めたり、単ある外国語科ではなく、「蕨高校の外国語科」を目指してもらえるような授業や活動を行っていきます！
たくさんの先輩達が外国語科で待っていますので、受験生も頑張ってください！
Rather than just choosing a high school based on偏差値, we hope more students aim for Warabi’s Foreign Language Department because of our unique lessons and experiences.
To all the future students, your senpai are waiting for you! Keep working hard and do your best on your entrance exams!
【外国語科】３１期 Winter Cup 2025！！

カテゴリ: 2月９日（日）に、1-9組の有志でウィンターカップ全国高校生英語ディベート大会に出場してきました！！
1月中旬から13人集まり、毎日夜遅くまでデータ集めや、原稿を完成させていきました。
On Sunday, February 9th, a team of volunteers from Classes 1-9 participated in the Winter Cup National High School English Debate Tournament!
Starting in mid-January, 13 students gathered and worked tirelessly, staying up late each night to research data and complete their scripts.
結果は1勝(vs.不動岡
2分け(vs.宇都宮、伊奈学園B（総合9位）
1敗(vs.長野諏訪青陵
Results:
✅ 1 win (vs. Fudooka)
➖ 2 draws (vs. Utsunomiya, Ina Gakuen B – Overall 9th place)
❌ 1 loss (vs. Nagano Suwa Seiryo)
1/26の練習試合では、一勝もできなかったですが、それが生徒達のやる気を出してくれました！
本大会は、埼玉県だけでなく県外からの参加も多く、レベルも高い戦いになりました。
During our practice match on January 26th, we couldn’t secure a single win. However, that setback fueled our motivation!
The main tournament featured teams not only from Saitama but also from other prefectures, making it a highly competitive event.
周りが部活動で日々練習しているなか、蕨高校は即席チームで挑みましたが、本当に良く戦えていたと思います！
Despite competing against teams that train daily as part of their club activities, our impromptu team from Warabi High School fought incredibly well!
振り返ってみると山あり谷ありの1ヶ月間でしたが、無事に全員参加することができ、当日もサポート役、出場者ともに充実した一日になったと思います。
大会に参加する過程や、本番で得た経験と、他校との交流ができたと思います。
Looking back, the past month was full of ups and downs, but every member made it to the tournament, and both competitors and support members had a fulfilling day.
Through this experience, our students gained valuable lessons, real competition experience, and connections with other schools.
ここまで頑張った生徒達に大きな拍手をお願いします！
これにて今年度の外国語科行事は全て終わりになります。
授業外で、スピーチコンテスト、ディベート、英語劇等、普通科では味わえないような刺激的な1年間を過ごせたと思います。これから入ってくる後輩に英語能力だけでなく、人としても慕われ尊敬されるような先輩になれると良いですね！
With this event, our Foreign Language Department activities for the year have come to an end.
From speech contests to debates and English plays, our students experienced an exciting and challenging year that goes beyond the ordinary curriculum.
We hope that our seniors continue to grow not only in English ability but also as role models, inspiring the next generation of students!
【外国語科】３１期 Speaking Practice！！ Part2!

カテゴリ: 前回に引き続き、一年間の振り返りとも込めてSpeaking Practiceを行いました。それぞれ２５分間×２で各セクションを行い、自分達が習ってきた内容を英語でしっかり言えるような練習を行っています！
Speaking Practice – A Year in Review!
Continuing from last time, we conducted Speaking Practice as a way to reflect on everything we have learned this year. Each session lasted 25 minutes × 2, giving students the opportunity to express what they have studied in English with confidence.
日常生活では日本語がメインなため、なかなかうまく言えないところもありますが、慣れてきている生徒も見受けられます。
Since Japanese is the main language in daily life, some students struggled to find the right words. However, many are becoming more comfortable speaking English!
次回は、今年度最後のSpeaking Testになります。
悔いの無いようにしっかりと準備して、臨めるといいですね！
Next time will be the final Speaking Test of the year. Let’s prepare well and give it our best effort with no regrets!
