【国際交流部】短期海外派遣事業便り⑥

現地の生徒たちは各ホストファミリー宅でそれぞれの休日を過ごしています。滞在中のブリスベンは「都会」と「自然」のバランスが非常に良く、中心部から徒歩圏内にラグーンがあったり、電車や車で1時間程のところに美しいビーチが点在しているそうです。そんな環境だからこそ、現地の方だけではなく、様々な国から来た人たちとの交流も生まれやすいのかも知れません。

"It was my first holiday in Australia, and we did so many exciting things today.

First, we went to the beach. It was very different from the beaches in Japan. The ocean was a beautiful shade of green, so we were able to take lots of great pictures.

Next, we went shopping and bought a lot of Tim Tams! They are a very famous chocolate snack in Australia.

In the evening, we had a barbecue and played basketball in the park. Playing basketball was an especially great experience because we got to play with people from many different countries. They were all friendly and very good at basketball.

It was a very busy day, but we had a wonderful time!" (Ibuki)
